Privacy policy
Draft version, last updated 7/23/2026. This draft is provided as a starting point and should be reviewed by a qualified attorney, especially before collecting data from workers outside the United States.
1. Information we collect
When you create an account and apply to work with VisionTask AI, we collect information including your name, email address, country, time zone, native language, other languages, occupation, employer, years of experience, remote work experience, annotation experience, resume if you choose to upload one, LinkedIn profile if provided, skills, availability, interest in future opportunities, and your PayPal email address for payouts. We also store the descriptions you write during the qualification test and while completing paid tasks.
2. Payment information
We do not collect or store credit card numbers, expiration dates, or security codes. Membership billing fields on our checkout screen are intentionally non interactive while we finalize our payment processor integration. Once a payment processor is fully connected, any card data will be handled directly by that processor under its own security standards, and we will update this policy to reflect that change.
3. How we use your information
- To evaluate your application and qualification test results
- To provide access to the worker dashboard and paid tasks
- To calculate and process your earnings and payouts
- To communicate with you about your account and available work
- To consider you for future roles you have expressed interest in
- To maintain platform security and prevent fraud
4. Authentication providers
If you sign up or log in using Google, we receive basic profile information such as your name and email address from Google in order to create and secure your account. We do not receive your Google password.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored using Supabase, our database and file storage provider, with access controls that restrict who can view your information. Resumes and dataset images are stored in private storage and are only made available to authorized, signed in users. We use industry standard password hashing and encrypted connections throughout the platform.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers who help us operate the platform, such as our email delivery provider and, in the future, our payment processor, solely for the purpose of providing our services to you.
7. Your choices
You can update most of your information at any time from your profile page, including your name, country, languages, skills, availability, resume, LinkedIn profile, and PayPal email. You may request deletion of your account by contacting support.
8. Retention
We retain account and task data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet recordkeeping, tax, and anti fraud obligations.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date.
10. Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent to the support address listed on your dashboard.
